The complex world of events health and safety can seem daunting to even the most experienced organiser.

Safetying is experienced in ensuring safe and healthy events on every scale from large fields full of moving vehicles and campers to small community events.

Events Health and Safety 

Responsibility for Theatre health and safety - Who is responsible for health and safety in theatres and arts venues? 

Theatre health and safety is the responsibility of the employer, In large professionally run venues and companies this is the person at in charge of the company on your paycheque.

Charity or volunteer run spaces the responsibility is owned potentially by a number of people, companies or charities. 

Theatre and arts venues regardless of their status all have legal duties under the health and safety at work act.

HEALTH and safety - What are the considerations for health? 

Health can include a number of considerations depending on the work being undertaken and how this is undertaken. Sometimes overlooked as the harm is usually less or not immediately obvious in the same way as a physical injury. 

  • Noise at work 

  • Hand arm vibration (HAVS) 

  • COSHH - exposure and use of harmful substances

  • Stress management
